This page describes the data collection planned for the public FPSHIFT app. The final legal basis, service-provider and processing-location information must be published before public analytics collection begins. This notice does not turn analytics on in your browser or PC.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
FUTUREFORGE LABS SRL is the publisher of FPSHIFT and the controller for the processing described here. For privacy questions, contact hello@fpshift.app.
2. No account does not mean no analytics profile
You do not need to register, choose a username, or sign in to use FPSHIFT. The planned analytics system will associate reports from the app with an installation identifier, rather than an account.
This creates an internal device profile containing the first time the installation was seen, its latest reported activity, and the device and source information listed below. It is not a public player profile. An installation identifier and its linked information can still be personal data, even without your name or email.
One person may have several installations. An installation profile is therefore not a reliable count of individual people.
3. Information we plan to collect
- Installation and activity
- An installation identifier, app version, first-launch or first-seen time, app-start events, recent activity reports and the last time an installation was seen online.
- Purpose: show currently active installations and understand whether players return to the app.
- Operating system and PC hardware
- Operating-system name and version; CPU model and logical processor count; installed RAM; GPU model, vendor, number of GPUs and graphics-memory capacity; disk model, type, connection type, count and capacity where available.
- Purpose: understand device compatibility and compare usage across different PC configurations. Disk information means hardware specifications, not the contents of your files.
- Network and approximate location
- The IP address received with a request may be used to estimate country, city and the network provider or Autonomous System Number (ASN). These are network-based estimates and can be inaccurate, especially with a VPN, proxy or shared connection.
- Purpose: understand the geographic and network distribution of active installations. This does not require GPS or a street address.
- Install source and campaign attribution
- Source and campaign information attached to a download or installation, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, a referral, or a direct visit. Available campaign tags and attribution tokens may be linked to the installation profile.
- Purpose: compare which sources bring installations and which groups keep using the app. A source label does not require access to your social-media account.
- Support messages
- Your email address, the message you send, and any screenshots or other information you choose to include when contacting us.
- Purpose: answer your request, investigate a problem and handle related follow-up.
The planned product-analytics scope does not include file contents, passwords, typed text, chat messages, payment information, disk serial numbers or screenshots of your desktop. Please avoid sending sensitive information in a support request.
4. How the analytics will be used
- Current activity: group recently active installations by operating system, country, city or network.
- Device profiles: view an installation’s hardware configuration, first-seen time and last-seen time for product analysis.
- Retention and churn: compare how many installations return or become inactive over a reporting period.
- Source comparisons: compare installation and return rates for different campaigns or channels.
Churn is an estimate based on a lack of reported activity. It does not prove that someone uninstalled the app, and a device shown as online means that it reported recently, not that we can see what its user is doing.
The described analysis is for product and campaign measurement, not automated decisions about access to employment, credit or other similarly significant matters.
5. Required analytics and the legal basis
The planned public app includes product analytics as a requirement rather than an optional setting. This requirement is separate from account registration: an account is still not required.
The legal basis for the required analytics is still being finalized. Calling analytics required, or including it in the Terms, does not by itself make it necessary to provide the app. Accepting the Terms is not consent to analytics.
Before public collection begins, we will identify the applicable legal basis, explain any legitimate interests relied on, and implement any consent or other choices that the law requires. Where consent is required, it must meet the applicable requirements and can be withdrawn.
For support correspondence, we use the information you provide to respond to you and manage the request. Applicable legal obligations may also require particular records to be retained. The final notice will distinguish these purposes from product analytics.
6. How long we plan to keep information
Analytics profiles and their linked analytics records are planned to be deleted or irreversibly anonymized after 90 days without reported activity. A new activity report moves this inactivity deadline forward, so an actively used installation can be retained for longer than 90 days in total.
This applies to the stored device, activity and attribution information linked to that profile, including stored network/location fields. Any separate security-log or backup retention will be specified before production collection begins.
Stopping or uninstalling the app stops future reports from that installation; it does not instantly delete information already received. You can contact us about deletion without waiting for the inactivity period. Genuinely anonymous statistics may be kept after the installation-level data has been removed.
Support messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with the request, related follow-up and any applicable legal obligations. We do not apply the device-profile inactivity clock to your email conversation.
8. This website and information on your PC
This landing page currently contains no third-party analytics script or advertising pixel. Visiting it does not upload your PC hardware to an analytics profile. Normal web requests can still be processed by the service hosting the website, including request and security logs.
The app also reads information locally to display your setup and manage supported changes. Local settings and restore records are separate from the analytics fields listed in this notice. Deleting the app and deleting a server-side analytics profile are different actions.
If website attribution, non-essential cookies or similar tracking is introduced, its data use and any required choices will be explained before it starts.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on the applicable law and processing, you may ask to access or correct your information, erase it, restrict its use, object to processing, or receive a portable copy. These rights have conditions and exceptions. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Email hello@fpshift.app with “Privacy request” in the subject. If you have an installation identifier from the app or a previous support conversation, include it. If you do not, contact us anyway. We may need limited information to find the right record and verify the request; please do not send passwords or identity documents unless specifically needed and requested.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law, normally one month for a GDPR request. You may also complain to a data-protection authority, including Romania’s ANSPDCP, or the authority where you live or work.
10. Young players
FPSHIFT is intended for players aged 16 and over. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should help you understand this notice and any permission required by the law where you live. Contact us if you believe information from someone under 16 has been included in the analytics.
11. Changes and questions
We will update this page as the public release and data handling are finalized. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes to collection or use will be explained before they take effect where required.
